Vision
By making use of local geographical environment, the department will promote the knowledge of geography among the students by organizing various activities and also by curricula.
Mission
1. To Maximize Mobilization of students by making geography practical knowledge adequately attractive. 2. To develop research attitude among the students. 3. To provide a platform to the students to enhance their skills through Field visits, Geographical surveys & Study tours.

Objectives
- To impart the Knowledge of the human and physical geography. - To make familiar the students regarding the physical set up and highlight economic scenario of the country - To introduce the students about map work and map interpretation - To enable the students about the use of advanced tools and techniques in the subject. - Student should get knowledge of resources through fieldwork at local level

Teaching Methods
Studying Geography at Department of Geography, Krantisinh Nana Patil College, Walwa, will learn from a wide variety of teaching methods:
Lecture Methods There will be four lectures per week for each F.Y. B. A., S.Y. B. A. and T.Y. B. A. Total Duration for per lecture is 48 minutes for theory course. Laboratory Work There is practical course assigned to third year of study. Third year undergraduate will have one practical course. During practical work student will perform only one practical per week for each practical course ICT in Geography Teaching - Geography Department have LCD projector. - Department have separate computer lab with necessary GIS software. - PowerPoint presentations are used for teaching purposes. - Video lectures of different concept in Geography. - Videos of landforms, natural processes and maps shown to the students. Experiential Learning Field trips are arranged for the students. Science exhibitions are arranged for the students. Geography Day celebrated with various student centric activities.

Course Outcomes:
B.A. I
i) Students should know soil geography which is the fundamental branch of Physical Geography.
ii) To familiarize the students with the basics and fundamental concepts of soil geography.
iii) With this study, students understand soil is key resource for the development of any country.
iv) Students are aware about process of soil formation and development as well as soil properties.
v) Students should know classification, characteristics and distribution of soils.
vi) Students should know the concepts related to soil degradation and erosion, causes and controlling factors of soil erosion, conservation of soils.
vii) Students should know the concept, need and methods soil of management.
B.A. II
i) To understand the concept and classification of Resources.
ii) To examine the major resources (water, forest, energy and human) with their distribution, utilization and problems.
iii) To study the sustainable resource development.
iv) The course also aims to familiarize the students with cartographic techniques.
