National Service Scheme (NSS)
Introduction
The National Service Scheme popularly known as NSS is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. The scheme was launched on 24th September 1969 the year of Mahatma Gandhiji's Centenary. It provides opportunity to the student youth of 11th & 12th Class of schools at +2 Board level and student youth of Technical Institution, Graduate & Post Graduate at colleges and University level of India to take part in various government led community service activities &programmes.The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service.

NOT ME BUT YOU.
Aim:
The aim of NSS is to providehands on experience to young students in delivering community service and inculcate social welfare in students.

College NSS unit Committee:-
Krantisinh Nana Patil College runs National Service Scheme unit from the very date of its commencement i. e. from 1992 onwards. The number of volunteers is 150 students. NSS unit has been organizing various activities of social significance. The special Camps of NSS have been organized successfully.
