Student Grievances Redressal Cell (GRC)

Aim

Students Grievances Redressal Cell provides mechanism to students for redressal of their grievances with regard to their complaints on academic and non-academic matters, grievances related to assessment, attendance, charging of fees, conducting of examinations, etc.

Objectives:

· To handle genuine grievances amongst the students, parents, teaching and non-teaching staff of the college.

· To introduce a fair, impartial and consistent mechanism for redressal of various issue faced by the students.

· To develop a responsive and accountable attitude among students, parents and staff, there by maintaining a harmonious atmosphere in the campus

· To co-ordinate between students’ and department to redress the grievances.

· The grievances will include any matter related to the students, staff and the committee requested to contribute effectively to dispose the grievances at the earliest.

Rules and Regulations of GRC

1. All complainants should file their grievances either in the format provided by cell or online format available on the college website.

2. The cell will meet at least once times in the first semester and once times in the second semester.

3. To take conclusive decision on the grievances and submit the report to the Principal of the college for further action.

Procedure of GRC

1. A complaint box is provided at the first flower of the building of the college for the students and parents.

2. Teaching and non-teaching staff shall submit his/her complaints to the any member of the cell.

3. All complaints should be resolved within a time frame by looking its seriousness.

4. The result of the grievances will be communicated to the complainant within the period defined by the cell.

5. The staff/students may report directly to the principal for resolving their grievance in case the complainant is unsatisfied by the cell decision.

Committee of GRC

Functions of Committee:-

· To receive complaints of students and redressal of grievances of students. The cases will be attended promptly on receipt of written grievances from the students.

· This committee will deal with all the Grievances directly which are related to the common problems at Institute level both academic and administrative. The Committee will review all cases and will act accordingly.

· The cases will be attended promptly on receipt of written grievances from the students.

· The cell formally will review all cases and will prepare statistical reports about the number of cases received.

· The cell will give report to the authority about the cases attended to and the number of pending

cases, if any, which require direction and guidance from the higher authorities.
