Mentor Mentee Scheme
Introduction
This scheme we started in our college for the students development. The faculty of the college plays the role as a guardian of students. The committee distributed approximately 18 students for each faulty. The faculties are calling the meeting of this students and very friendly discuss about their interest, academic problems and health problems also. Even the concerning guardian faculty made awe about the social behavior in campus and out campus also.
a) Objectives of the Practice
1. Development in relationship on campus
2. Development in good academic carrier
3. Gaining the knowledge in various aspects Duties of Mentor
4. Mentor would be the Guardian of the Mentee in campus
5. Maintain the record up to date about counseling
6. Undertake the Counseling of mentee about their academic and Health Problems
7. Interaction with mentee should be in once and twice in every semester
8. Mentor should be aware about their regular attendance, examination related issues
9. Arrange the Medical checkup should be in every six month
10. Encourage the mentee for participation in extracurricular activities
11. Aware the Mentee about their bright future
b) Responsibilities of a Mentor
1. Each student is to be allocated a faculty mentor at the time of admission.
2. A mentor will provide support to 15 to 18 mentees.
3. Mentors organize a meeting of mentees at the beginning of the semester.
4. The mentors should try to understand their mentees and help their mentees settle well in the new environment.
5. The mentor will act as a guide, coach, and role model to the mentee.
6. The mentor should interact with the mentee as per the need and taking review the experience set objectives for the next period.
7. The mentor will play a critical role in the mentees’ development and competence programme..
c) Responsibilities of a Menteen
1. Mentees should be regular and punctual during meetings with the mentor.
2. They must adhere to the Mentoring Programme procedures.
3. They must attend the classes and test and semester exam as directed by
the college.
4. It is mandatory for the students to attain the meeting with mentor
during the mentoring sessions.
5. Mentees should initiate any discussions related to difficulties’ with
mentor..
6. Mentees should maintain a healthy relationship with the mentors.
7. Mentees should meet with their respective mentors at least once a month.
d) Procedure
College is committed for the overall development of students, as per the mission and goals of Kisan shikshan Sanstha. The aim of the scheme is to support and guidance to mentee in academic and personality development. At time of the admission, committee allotted students as a mentee to every teacher. The Mentor Mentee Committee allots equal number of students to each mentor. Mentor conducts formal and informal meetings of respective mentees. Necessary information is shared through WhatsApp group. Through these meetings personal and academic problems are tackled. Moreover, mentor keeps himself in touch with their parents. In every semester two meetings are called by mentor and thoroughly discuss with mentee and solve the problems.
